Dear All,
&color(Red){&size(22){''Faculties''};};

Welcome to the Department of Physics, University of the Ryukyus. It is our great pleasure to inform you that we will open a new graduate course of physics for international students coming next year, 2007. This course will be implemented as a part of the Okinawa International Marine Science Program which is organized by the Graduate School of Engineering and Science at University of the Ryukyus. The program is supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in Japan (MONBUKAGAKUSHO).
&color(Red){&size(18){Condensed Matter Physics: Experiment};};

The students in this course can develop modern physics under the supervision by the professors in Department of Physics, and obtain Master's or Doctor's degree of Science from University of the Ryukyus. The students can receive the stipendium of amounts of 172,000 yen as well as travel expenses from the MONBUKAGAKUSHO.

The course covers the fields of Condensed Matter Physics (Experiment and Theory), Fundamental Physics (Particle Physics, Field Theory, Quantum Information Theory), Statistical Physics, and Computational Physics. We have high activity and good environments in both education and research. The students who are interested in our physics course are encouraged to contact with any member of our physics department listed in our web page.See below We hope that many young students who are ambitious for developing physics will apply to our program at University of the Ryukyus in Japan.
